Computer Freezes During Video Playback


I've checked numerous threads and tried suggestions I've found there (testing different RAM, scanning for viruses, updating the bios/video card drivers, etc.) and so far nothing has worked. Then try to 'play' with all settings for that card. It's very annoying, especially knowing it's not really a hardware problem (after all, it worked flawlessly in Windows 7) and so it COULD be fixed.
