I've finally found that most freezes occur within a few seconds after I plug in or unplug my headphones--but not every time I plug in or remove my headphones. The single language usually means that it was pre-installed. If no problem occurs, the cause is either the connection running from the ports on the front, or the chipset on the ASRock. But a good point about the difference with the usb headphones, might be a related issue there.
