Like I said before after you get it up and save all your inportant stuff do a clean install. solved computer won't restart for 1/2 hr -1 hr after any shut down, don'tneed to pull plug just give it time. also if i do have to redo it - if i get another hard drive and just install windows on that one is there a way i can get my programs navigate here

Is your computer a laptop or a desktop??What brand and model is it?What is the message it gives with the pressing F1 request? Please make sure it is the same version of Windows that is currently installed on your computer (ex. But if you actually read the screen, it gives you an option to continue using an existing installation, select that and windows starts installing normally using the gui. it repaired windows (to my knowledge) since it said it was finished and put on a count down to restart. I also tried to install windows 2000, cause the computer had worked fine with that system, but i had the same problems: it kept rebooting. it asks for a SISAGP.SYS file to be installed on Silicon Integrated Systems Installation disk.
