I don't think it's the mouse or router disturbing the PC, since the problem began only recently. But by disabling the Ethernet adapter's support for that capability, the system should stay asleep.

I just got through running a full recovery and updated everything that could be updated but the thing just will NOT stay in Standby mode for more than 30 seconds.
