If your motherboard has something of that sort, check it out... These cards may also not need power from the computer's power supply, instead, they get their power directly from the PCI slot.
A midrange GPU can run anywhere from $250-500, and cutting edge models can cost up to $1000 (though they're rarely worth the price to performance ratio they offer).
