A computer that turns off without warning is often a heat related issue. I left my computer off overnight, and the night before that I was playing LoL and the BF3 beta to my heart's content without issue. You can first start by verifying the fan on the power supply is working by examining the back of the computer and seeing if the fan is moving and moving smoothly. This will, probably require a schematic, and can be very difficult.
